do monk heroes use mesmer interrupts properly when in passive mode?
or do you have to put the monk on defensive for them to interrupt?
cause if they gotta be on defensive they'd start wanding :S

They'll have to be on defend, otherwise they won't use any skills that target and enemy.

If you set them on defend, make sure that you dont equip them with a +5e sword or a melee weapon. Otherwise they would be running towards the mob. Interrupts and +5e weapons for monks dont mix.

Setting them to defend, means they would also wand the enemy from time to time, which means they would be less likely to kite. But that is the price you pay for equipping them with interrupts.

This is why I dont like to equip my monk heroes with interrupts if I can help it.

After messing with Ogden's Build using the information I learned here, I changed his bar to:

1. Divine Healing.
2. Word of Healing.
3. Dwayna's kiss.
4. Cure Hex.
5. Leech Signet.
6. Power Drain.
7. Waste Not Want not.
8. Rebirth.

My observations so far have been:

Divine Healing: He doesn't seem to want to use this skill when the entire party is damaged due to being unable to get out of a Fire Storm. I have to manually force him to use this most of the time. (He does seem to use it only when both WoH and Dwayna's Kiss are recharging and that 1/4 a second he has free only gives him this for a heal)

Cure Hex: He seems to favor hex removal over healing. Word of Healing ready to be used, Jora at 20% health, I'm hexed....he removes my hex and lets Jora die.

Waste Not Want Not: This was a horrible addition to his skillbar. It's the first skill he uses, every time. He will use this skill as soon as it's recharged. He doesn't care that he is at full energy. At least with Power Drain/Leech signet, a skill is getting interrupted when he's at full energy.

I wish the AI was a bit smarter with skills. Some nice skills are made useless due to inability to utilize them even marginally intelligently.

It's not, but I can find better skills to use over e-management. His energy is sometimes perfectly fine in long'ish fights, but not always. Still though, he usually doesn't go so low to the point where he's completely useless.

Realy? I've not had a problem with them using it. I've gone to a more hybred build using WoH with them, but the HB builds were great at healing when I was working with them.

Slot in Cure Hex for Res if you already have a hero or two with one.
